Polyurethane (PU) is a special material that offers the resilience of rubber combined with the toughness and durableness. It allows people to substitute rubber, plastic and metal with PU. Polyurethane can reduce factory maintenance and OEM product cost. Polyurethane has better abrasion and tear resistance than rubbers, and offering higher load bearing capacity.

The BS type piston rod seal is a lip seal with two sealing lips and a tight fit at the outer diameter. There is extra lubricant between the two lips, which greatly prevents dry friction and wear.

1. Installation

Such seals should have an axial gap. In order to avoid any damage to the lip, do not pull the seal on the sharp edge during installation. These seals can usually be fitted into closed grooves. Where access is restricted, special installation tools are required.
